Thinking about having your wedding at That Amazing Place? Our FAQs are here to help answer any questions you may have.

Wedding Day & Venue Access

When does wedding exclusivity apply?

Exclusive use of the venue is from 11:30 AM on the day of the wedding until 10:00 AM the following morning.

When can we have access to That Amazing Place to set up?

Bridal party access: From 11:30 AM on the wedding day.
Suppliers: Can arrive 3 hours before the ceremony.
Overnight guests check-in: From 2:00 PM.

Food & Drink

Can we bring our own caterers?

No. To ensure quality, we require couples to select from our preferred caterers, who offer bespoke menus tailored to your needs and budget.

Do you allow corkage?

No, we do not allow corkage. However, we provide high-quality wines at competitive prices.

Ceremony & Reception

What time is the ceremony held?

Classic Wedding Package: Ceremony can be booked anytime from 2:00 PM.
Twilight Weddings: Ceremony starts at 4:00 PM or 5:00 PM.

What is the finish time for music and the bar?

Sunday to Thursday: Music and bar close at 11:30 PM, venue closes at midnight.
Monday to Wednesday: Music and bar close at 11:00 PM, venue closes at 11:30 PM.Accommodation & Venue Facilities

Is overnight accommodation included in the package price?

No. Overnight accommodation for all 15 rooms (sleeps 31 guests) is £2,500. This is separate from the wedding package, as most couples recoup the cost from their guests.

Is furniture included in the hire price?

Yes, all tables and chairs are included in the hire price.

Do you provide table linen?

Yes, we provide plain white table linen. You can upgrade to coloured linen for an additional cost.

What size is your cake stand?

We provide a 16-inch traditional silver round cake stand and silver knife at no extra cost.

Suppliers & Entertainment

Do we have to use your preferred suppliers?

Catering: You must use one of our preferred caterers for quality assurance.
DJ Services: If using the marquee, you must book our in-house DJ (Herts Events).
Other Suppliers: You are free to choose your own florists, photographers, decorators, etc..

Guest Information & Additional Details

Is there overnight parking?

Yes. Guests can leave their cars overnight at their own risk but must collect them the following morning.

Is there a restriction on child numbers?

No, there is no restriction on the number of children attending your wedding.

Are there any undisclosed charges?

No, all charges are discussed upfront in your initial consultation to assist with budgeting.

Do your costs include registrar fees?

No. You will need to contact the registrar directly to arrange and pay for your civil ceremony.

Amazing Place We got married at That Amazing Place in august 2024 and what an AMAZING place it is. May 2024 Wedding We had our incredible wedding here in May 2024. We had the best day ever, all coordinated by Angie and her amazing team. The venue was perfect and exactly how we pictured it for our special day. We even had our dogs there for the ceremony which made it even more special!

The most perfect day Angie and Paul were fantastic from start to finish, the venue is beautiful and we couldn’t have wished for a more perfect wedding day! The mixture of the house and marquee worked really well for us and our guests and there was plenty of room for our family and close friends to stay in comfort.

Couldn’t recommend That Amazing Place enough!

Amazing! I honestly cannot recommend That Amazing Place more! Angie, Louise and the rest of the staff were incredible from start to finish. We first met Louise and Angie in February 2023 when they showed us around and we instantly knew we wanted to get married here. They couldn’t have made the experience more straightforward and stress free for us. On the day, everything was taken control of exactly how I would have wanted and everything ran smoothly thanks to Angie and Louise. Who are both so lovely and welcoming! The venue was spot on, the house is beautiful and the marquee was perfect for a party. Louise even drove us over the grass in a golf buggy to make sure we got some pictures outside without getting too wet due to the rain!
Absolutely loved staying in the wedding lodge the night before, stunning house and got everything you’d need (Angie and Louise came to say hello the night before also making me feel so relaxed about it all). Thank you so so much for everything you did for us and for making our day so perfect. Couldn’t have wished for a better venue. Lives up to its name! X

Dream wedding We visited a few venues before That Amazing Place, but when we met Louise and walked around the venue we knew straight away that this was the place for us.
We loved their relaxed style and felt we could really have the wedding that we wanted and it did not disappoint.
Angie helped us to organise our day and used her experience to help guide us into making some sensible decision. I really felt as though she listened to what we wanted and was willing to accommodate our plans.

On the day it was the wedding we had dreamed of. Both Angie, Louise and the TAP team were on hand to make our day perfect. They beautifully set up the venue and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy throughout the day.
I couldn't be more thankful to them for helping to create our perfect wedding. I will forever be grateful to them.

Wedding Day Myself and my partner had our wedding here, and its was totally amazing. It was the perfect day, it was relaxed, chilled, calm, and no stress! Just what we wanted. Everyone was happy!
The orgnanisation and attenetion to detail That Amazing Place provides is remarkable.

Perfect day We had the most perfect day at That Amazing Place. The setting is what sold the venue to us and it did not disappoint on the day. Being able to have the ceremony outside was fantastic Angie and the team did a seamless job in pulling everything together. We were after a chilled and relaxed vibe, and we couldn’t have chosen anywhere better!

The Best day of my life! We got married here on the 2nd August 2024 and the wedding day was an absolute dream!!! From the moment we initially looked round the venue in September 2022 we knew That Amazing Place was the venue for us. The grounds were beautiful from the lake, the different ceremony rooms, the onsite accommodation and the marquee (it looked like something out of a fairytale!!). The booking process was extremely easy and smooth guided by the help of both of you in the planning stages. That Amazing Place had everything we needed from onsite accommodation for closest family and friends to stay, recommended caterers and other suppliers, to the addition of the Wedding Lodge for the night before. The use of hostology was excellent meaning that our wedding was personalised to exactly how we wanted it including regular emails keep us in the loop with any meetings and to double check certain aspects of the wedding.

The wedding day was absolutely perfect!! Everything ran so smoothly from start to finish. The weather was perfect meaning that we were lucky to have the ceremony outside which was beautiful next to the lake and thank you to Louise for topping me up with an endless supply of my favourite cocktail (that was very needed in the weather).

The wedding breakfast was absolutely divine, Plenty Of Thyme supplied incredible food, to which one of our guests said that it was better than their wedding day breakfast! My dad (who used to be a professional chef) said he could not fault the food and wished he had more of the lamb and cheesecake!

The recommended list of suppliers given at the start was perfect - we chose absolutely fabulous suppliers. Rob & Louise from Trebor Photography were fantastic and integrated well with our family and friends (photos will come in due course!), Andy from Herts Events was brilliant throughout the evening and created a dancing atmosphere (and trust me the dance floor was always full), Jo from Browns Blooms and Balloons supplied the most beautiful set of roses and JM events for the fantastic light up 'Mr & Mrs Wood' which created lots of photo opportunities!

Having spoken to all family & friends since the wedding they have all been so complimentary of the venue and have been speaking high praise about how beautiful That Amazing Place was and how enjoyable the day was. Our wedding day at That Amazing Place was absolutely perfect and we cannot thank the team enough for making it happen. It will be a day we will always treasure and have special memories of and we would recommend That Amazing Place to anyone in a heartbeat.

Our magical wedding We cannot thank everyone at That Amazing Place enough for the most AMAZING wedding ever! The venue and grounds are stunning, the owners and staff can’t do enough to help and even the gorgeous dogs pop their noses in to say hi. Everyone went above and beyond and nothing was too much trouble. We want to say an extra special thank you Angie who was amazing from start to finish. It really is That Amazing Place 🤍
