Itβs that time again, when we get to tell you about another beautiful ceremony right here at That Amazing Place. This time, weβre talking about the nuptials of Reece and Leah in our countryside wedding venue. Leah and Reece had been together for just over nine years before they said βI doβ. They walked down the aisle as not only lovers, but best friends too. Having met through friends, Leah explained that they βstarted talking and realised we were both as weird as each other. We canβt pinpoint the moment we fell in love but it happened quite quickly and weβve spent pretty much every day together since.β
There really is nothing we love more than seeing such a union finally tie the knot, and what a wedding it wasβ¦
The Venue
From the moment Leah and Reece walked through our doors at That Amazing Place, they felt at home. Leah explained, βeverything about That Amazing Place is beautiful and 100% lives up to its name. It was the first and only place we viewed.β The happy couple particularly appreciated our attention to detail. Much to their appreciation, everything ran smoothly, leaving them with no worries and able to enjoy the day to the full.

Theme and Entertainment
When it came to their theme, they stuck to pinks, nudes and a few sparkles for good measure. They had a twinkle dance floor for the evening along with jars, fairy lights and candles. Leah said, βThat Amazing Place and the caterers set up everything for us. It was everything we could have wished for and more. Our twinkle dance floor and magic mirror were supplied by Wow Factor.β They also enjoyed the wonderful Piano DJ playing a fantastic DJ set into the night.
Flowers
Leah and Reece opted for gip in jars on the ends of each seat aisle. They also had peonies, roses and gip for their centerpieces. The top tables were finished off beautifully with an arrangement of roses, calla lilies and tulips. All whites, creams and pinks were used to match the bride and bridesmaids bouquets.
Dress
Leah looked beautiful in a dress from an exquisite boutique in Hertford, Dress In Love. Leah originally saw her dress on Facebook, βwe then went to a wedding fair. When I visited Dress In Love, it was the first dress I tried on and I instantly knew I wanted it.β
Catering
Leah and Reece were lucky enough to book the fabulous Magpie Catering for their big day. They explained, βEverything was so delicious. Everyone we spoke to said how much they enjoyed it. The steak and ale pie was out of this world. Lizzie and all of her team were so professional but also so friendly. In fact, we couldnβt recommend That Amazing Place and all of their suppliers enough. They all played a huge part in making our special day so magical.β

If we asked you to name the most memorable wedding of 2018, what would you say? Harry and Meganβs perhaps? Well, here at That Amazing Place, we have a wedding that stole the show. Marrying on the same day as our favourite red headed prince himself, we introduce Nick and Elli Gunn. Nick and Elli had been together 8 years before they got married, after having met through a mutual love of photography and German shorthaired pointers. Hereβs their big day at our countryside wedding venue.

The Venue
Choosing a wedding venue for some can feel like a mammoth task. The trips to and from different venues, some miles away and others at the most inconvenient of times β just so you can fit it in. For Nick and Elli however, it was a different story. Nick explained, βbeing a wedding photographer for the last 8 years means Iβve seen many of the venues in and around Essex but Iβd never worked at That Amazing Place. It felt so clean and gave that feeling of being in someoneβs home.β Nick and Elli chose to get married in the garden and despite the nuptials of a certain prince and his American princess, stole the show, βOur wedding was the same day as the wedding of Megan and Harry but obviously, our wedding was much better ha ha.β

Theme and Entertainment
In terms of theme and flowers, it was kept very country and very natural. Being a wedding photographer certainly had its benefits and allowed the couple to step away from things theyβd seen done time and again, βwe wanted to try some things different to what weβd seen on a regular basis. For our flowers we opted for a natural country garden flower with that just picked look.βΒ Nick and Elli also enjoyed our resident DJ along with a pianist who entertained their guests all day long.

The Dress & Suit
The couple both looked nothing short of exquisite on the day thanks to their fabulous sense of style. Elli, Nickβs fellow photographer bride wore a Demetrios dress from a bridal shop in Ongar, Essex while Nick himself opted for made-to-measure country clothing from Butlers Stewart, complemented perfectly by handmade boots by Filli Fabbri, an Italian riding boot manufacturer, very appropriate indeed as the couple also share a love of all things equestrian.

Magical Moments
Nick and Elliβs magical moment came when they both walked across the lawn, down to the lake and gazebo toward the aisle. Nick said, βas we approached the red carpet, I pointed out to Elli that all of our friends and family were there. Then all of a sudden, they all started clapping together.β
From that magical moment, the happiness continued and the beautiful couple became husband and wife. While the pair are both happier behind the camera, rather than in front of it, we think itβs safe to say the photos, taken by the talented Steve Hobart are nothing short of amazing. Hereβs to the happy couple, we wish them many years of happiness together and hope to see them once again, only this time to celebrate an anniversary or two.
Who doesnβt love a real love story? We know we go weak at the knees for a little romance and what could be more romantic than hearing about a special coupleβs wedding day? Today weβre looking at the nuptials of Lucy and Michael. Lucy and Michael had been together 10 years when they said βI doβ. Lucy was just 19 years old, and Michael 21 when they met. In 2017, Michael proposed and Lucy, in her own words, βwasted no time in booking the wedding after waiting so long!β So hereβs a little look into their special day, right here at That Amazing Place.
The Venue

Lucy and Michael came to view That Amazing Place and fell in love with its beauty and laid back feel, βYou feel welcome and at home the minute you arrive and the whole place is decorated to perfection. Itβs a place you just donβt want to leave. I never wanted a venue that made it seem that we were pretending to be anything like a castle etc. I just wanted somewhere where all our friends and family could relax and have an amazing timeβ and thatβs exactly what she got with our Essex wedding venue. Lucy also felt at ease dropping Angie, our wedding coordinator an email whenever she needed to, βshe was always so helpful in her responses. Whenever we were at the venue before the wedding or on the day, Paul was so fantastic too. He made us feel so welcome and special. That meant so much to us.β
Theme and Entertainment
As opposed to a theme, the happy couple instead opted for a colour scheme. They enjoyed gold throughout, with accents of pink. Lucy explained, βThe guys at That Amazing Place were fantastic on every level with helping me bring my ideas to life. They helped me find retailers who would stock the items I wanted, some items Iβd searched a lifetime for. Their list of recommended suppliers online also helped me immensely. I booked my photographer, singer, stationary and chair covers through this list.β
Lucy and Michael were very lucky to have the aunt of their maid of honour create the flowers for their wedding. They opted for whites and pale pinks in the brideβs bouquet and just white for the bridesmaids. Eucalyptus was placed throughout all flowers on the day as Lucy is a huge fan.

For entertainment, the couple had Matty Evans perform magic at the drinks reception who just so happened to go down a storm with the coupleβs guests. They also booked Joe Boshell to sing, βwho we found through That Amazing Placeβs list of recommended suppliers. He was amazing and all my guests loved him. Having him sing our first dance song was so special. His second performance made the whole night, everyone was dancing and singing along.β
Catering
For catering, once again, they dove into That Amazing Placeβs list of recommended suppliers and chose the wonderful Magpie Catering. Michael explained, βthey were so accommodating to individual guests needs and helped us so much in picking the menu. On the day everyone felt so looked after and the food was so good!β
The Dress

The dress Lucy wore was a Ronald Joyce number from Confetti and Lace. She fell in love with the dress immediately, βWhen I put on that dress, there was no hesitation. I knew it was the right one. It was everything Iβd wanted, straps, low back, fitted in all the right places. Just beautiful.β
Magical Moments
What would a wedding be without those truly magical moments? For Lucy and Michael there were two moments in particular that really stuck out. βWhen Joe Boshell was singing βHey Judeβ and I looked around to see all of our guests singing together. I just took a second and I was in this perfect place with everyone I lovedβ¦β and perhaps for Lucy in particular, a special moment with her father, βMy dad was so emotional on the day bless him. He was sobbing on the walk to the aisle and I couldnβt help but laugh.β

Hereβs to the wonderful couple. From all of us here at That Amazing Place, we wish you many years of happiness and we hope to see you in the future for anniversary celebrations and more.
Itβs been quite a while since we last shared a real wedding story here at That Amazing Place and we couldnβt be more pleased to be sharing the wonderful nuptials of Tash and Matt. This gorgeous couple, after having met via Tinder four years previous decided to say their βI doβsβ at our stunning country house wedding venue after deciding it ticked all the boxes, there and then and we couldnβt have been more pleased. Letβs dive into their wonderful day and see just what made their special day that extra bit special and just why they chose to say yes to That Amazing Placeβ¦
The Venue
When we asked Tash just why herself and Matt decided on That Amazing Place, there was no hesitation, βIt was only the second place that we viewed and it ticked all the boxes. The additionalΒ option for our family to be able to stay for the weekend at the venueΒ was what swayed us, as it gave the wedding a more homely vibe.β Something that also really stood out for Tash and Matt was the help they received from the start, βAngie, Sarah and the team at TAPΒ were so welcoming and down toΒ earth. With such experience behind them weΒ knew weΒ could trust their support and suggestions, and as such they made wedding planning so exciting and memorable.β

Their theme was decided from their choice of flower. They found a photo together online that they both loved which led to them choosing a fantastic colour scheme of peach, burgundy, ivory and rose gold. They loved the classic appeal with a rustic twist. When it came to their entertainment, they sought the help of That Amazing Place for suggestions and used the fabulous Herts Events. Tash said, βMark the DJ was brilliant and very responsive to the crowd. He even let the groom do his own pre-prepared set. We had fireworks in the evening too thanks to Fireworks Crazy; the display was beautiful and definitely made the evening very special and unforgettable.

Tash and Matt chose the fabulous Premier Crew Catering to cater for their big day. They had paella and a BBQ for the wedding breakfast, which went down a storm. Their guests were then treated to mini fish and chips later on in the evening. What else could they say but, βamazing food and valueβ.
Tash and Mattβs big day was truly something special and one weβll cherish for a long time. From all of us at That Amazing Place, weβd just like to say a huge congratulations once again to the happy couple and we hope to see them back very soon celebrating their forthcoming anniversaries!
Being asked to be someoneβs bridesmaid, or more specifically their maid of honour is a huge honour. It not only highlights the strong bond you have with that person but also just how much they trust you because letβs face it, itβs no easy job and will no doubt be up there with the bride herself on importance. So to ensure things go off without a hitch, we thought weβd put together a little guide to being the best maid of honour possible!
Enthusiasm β if you arenβt the wedding type, being enthusiastic when talking about bridal gowns, wedding colours and flowers is an absolute must. You may find yourself super surprised at just how much planning their big day will take over their life but itβs your job to go along for the ride and offer your honest opinion on everything; after all, you mean enough to the bride for her to ask you to be right there next to her on her big day.
Be Her Wing Woman β it doesnβt matter how in love with their future partner they are, the moment before a bride walks down that aisle will undoubtedly be one of the most nerve-wracking of their life so itβs down to you to keep her as calm as possible. The best way to do this is to let everyone know that should anything need attention or should anything go wrong, youβre the first point of call to help her avoid any unnecessary stress.
Take A Stand β thereβs nothing wrong with being assertive and being honest, tactfully of course. Youβre there to represent the entire group of bridesmaids in discussions so if a bridesmaid dress has been chosen that hits a few bad notes with some of the others, thereβs no harm in bringing this subject up gently and simply raising concerns. Perhaps diplomatically suggest some other options or alterations that could make everyone happy.
Make Time β while itβs not your special day, it is your best friendβs special day so be sure to commit time and space in your diary for the bride to be to not only show that youβre there for her, but to ensure things are done in a timely manner. This will relieve a huge amount of stress for the bride to be. Of course, there will always be an occasion where you canβt make it for one reason or another and simply being genuine and upfront about this is all youβll need to do. Make sure the bride knows just how much her big day means to you too.
If youβd like a little more help with her big day, then simply ask our fabulous Angie, right here at That Amazing Place. Angie has helped a number of happy couples organise their day and will be only too happy to help you too.
